A dramatic viewpoint, with a lone Utah juniper, along the canyon rim overlooking the 1,450 mile long Colorado River 2,000 ft below, in Dead Horse Point State Park. The park is so named because of its use as a natural corral by cowboys in the 19th century, who herded the nearby wild mustangs and where some horses died of exposure.
