Description Stable Coat is easy to apply and suitable for use on old or new buildings and easily overcoats old creosote coatings. It is low in odour and has a low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content. It complies to EN71 parts 2 & 3 relating to child toy safety and flammability. The unique formulation has been designed to give a quick drying coat leaving a traditional finish. 1 litre will cover approximately 10m2 depending on the moisture content and porosity of the timber. For the first treatment it is recommended that two coats be applied with only one coat needed for future maintenance and re-treatment. Matt with a soft sheen finish. Touch-dry in 2 hours in normal weather. Allow approx. 2-4 hours before applying 2nd coat if conditions are clear and dry. Drying time will be far longer in cold humid conditions Stable Coat is a highly-repellent coating. If too long is left between the first and second coat the 1st coating will repel the 2nd evident by beading. If this happens either sand back lightly or leave the first coat to weather for a couple of months before applying the second coat.
