Equipped with a VG10 Damascus folded steel blade; a forge-laminate of a VG10 steel (1% carbon, 15% chromium, 1% molybdenum, 1.5% cobalt and a trace amount of vanadium) core, which is then sandwiched on both sides with Damascus steel, a crucible mixture of 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best blade-making steel available.Completed with a combination of solid brass fittings and a Cypress hardwood handle, which form a natural and enduring hand-hold, as well as a solid hand-guard which physically stops the user’s hand from slipping onto the blade.
